Agreeing with @gaudipern.bsky.social above. You should release a couple of small demo projects to showcase your programming. Small games to Itcho Io is a move. Don't worry about making it look amazing since great gameplay/mechanics can overlook a games art anytime imo.

This is a good option! Alot of people these days gotta show tons of demos to get noticed. Once something pops off then and they get noticed, it'll be much easier to apply for companies.
