Guess my question is: how many Republicans, in light of the assassination and attempted assassination in MN this morning, spoke out or showed up at a march.

Today I focused on family and supporting my neighbors.

Complicit mfuckers sang along with non-licensed music at a parade.

I had the pleasure of discovering @justinwolfers.bsky.social after @betseystevenson.bsky.social gave a lecture at the Uni I work for and, I have to say- we Americans need more concise, clarifying & accessible economic content in media like this!

KEEP IT UP.

Econ powerhouses, those two!
There's a lot of day-to-day economic noise. But to keep your eye on what really matters, ask yourself: What makes some countries rich, and others poor? And keep your eyes on those factors, because they're the ones that'll really matter in the long run.

Yes. YES.
Yes it's Star Wars, but that's almost incidental. Andor is the best popular fictional portrayal of resistance to fascism I've seen. It tells us that authoritarians are fundamentally weak and that courage is contagious. Give it a few episodes.

Andor 'is not written from the headlines,' even if it feels that way
Creator Tony Gilroy says the Star Wars series depicts the kind of authoritarian regime we've seen many times in history

So… this was supposed to be about Paul Revere’s ride, but the Senator just unloaded about the Trump administration and its Republican enablers. Far more newsworthy than I expected. (You can probably see me shifting to “crap, this was not the interview I prepped!” but the result was memorable.)

While I count down the weeks and months until our blooms start to pop, I will enjoy this little explosion of color during the “still grey” time in the Northeast that I saw at an event yesterday (a self-made bouquet by the event director).

Baking and cooking has always been therapeutic for me.

Been doing it a LOT since early November.

Weekly bread: olive
Tonight’s dinner: seared duck breast w/grains and asparagus

(Pizza for the pre-schooler, unless we get her to try the duck, which would be a huge win!)
