Larger parliament per capita helps a hell of a lot with responsiveness

By any reasonable standard the US legislature should be at least 2-3x its current size but I didn't think you can sell the American public on "what we really need is a thousand more politicians"

Delays due to path diversion for non-ELP flights would have been *very annoying* but also probably not as big a deal as the storms last month unpredictably throttling major Atlantic coast/midwest hubs for multiple days

Hello, logistics guy here: El Paso isn't really a huge air freight hub. The stuff that goes through there tends to be low-volume but high-value and in practice redirecting the air leg to ABQ and trucking it down wouldn't be the biggest deal in the world. Not great but not terrible.

IIRC SocDoneLeft is European (German?) which puts this in a completely different context. Paying party dues in Europe typically means you get to be the rough equivalent of a delegate at the national conventions here - vote on party policy and leadership and lege nominees.

Over here, you're correct.

Yeah what we really need is Stephen Miller having direct editorial control over every newsroom the next time we lose

This is true but ignores just how many fucking GPUs were burned out mining crypto from ~2015-2020

In 2018 you literally could not purchase a GPU for under twice MSRP

Please Prince the name of the last Democratic candidate to run on national rent control and price controls on groceries
February 8, 2026 at 5:27 PM
Do you see how you instantly went from "we're not important enough to try and appeal to even a little" to "well sure they promised us very nearly our entire domestic agenda but it doesn't matter because they're shitlibs"

Why bother
February 8, 2026 at 5:06 PM
Oh my fucking god she ran on national rent control, national price controls, an expansion of what national healthcare system we do have, and public housing for ~5% of the population

Leftists should have been dragging their nuts across broken glass to vote for her
February 8, 2026 at 3:51 PM
I believe 5% is the threshold at which a party becomes eligible for public campaign financing.

Why would you blame Biden for obvious GOP ratfucking

Assassin's Creed dodges being retro because Ubi continued to make the *exact same game* under various titles for twenty years

Gears and Halo definitely have their own idiosyncrasies that decided FPS/TPS games of their genre for a *while* and which we're now shifting away from. Two weapons, comparatively high TTK, strong melee, regenerating health, vehicle combat (Halo) or cover mechanics (Gears)

Trump's response to a debate question on the price of childcare was to rant incoherently for five minutes about Haitians eating cats and dogs so your gonna have to explain why we're holding Harris to a different standard here
