Been away from this account a while—life took a turn. For a brief period, I’m living the life of a commando lieutenant in a foreign land, among unfamiliar cultures. An experience money can’t buy. Yet alas, summer slipped through my fingers, buried in the stillness of these harsh, dull days.

A bestenigâr semâî in Turkish, penned by the Sabbateans in Hebrew script;

«Biz sana üftâdeyiz ey şâh-ı hubb-ı cihan / Rahmedüb âşıkların etme sezâ-i figan
Rûy-i zaman görmemiş sen gibi bir hüsn-i ân / Rahmedüb aşıkların etme sezâ-i figan»

During my brief months at Sciences Po, this modest keepsake endures from my flâneur wanderings through Paris—though, if you like, you might call it an impertinent scribble. It is a quiet testament to the fervour of youthful ambition and the audacity it so often inspires.

Years ago at the high school dormitory, while my friend was watching The Mentalist, I remarked, "The plot is simple; I could write something better." I wrote a story, inevitably adorned with a touch of cliché. Now I share its opening chapter, hoping it won't be forgotten.

It would be amusing to read a scenario in which a mutual friend strives to reconcile İsmail Hakkı Bursevî and Vanî Mehmed Efendi under proto-Turkist motivations, urging them to unite against Sabbateans attempting a Kabbalistic exegesis of the Qur'an.

At the behest of a non-Turk friend, this stands as a liberally rendered interpretation of a celebrated poem.

This movement will not falter; its cause holds sway.»

Today marks the anniversary of the passing of our revered master, Namık Kemal. This was drawn by Cemil Cem, then a secretary at the Paris embassy, upon hearing the proclamation of liberty during the 1908 Revolution. Here he stands, in all his grandeur, as the father of ideas for so many of us.

The Turk, in accordance with his very essence, achieves his greatest splendour only when tempered by capable hands. Despite the dismal tableau wrought by Alamerican para-democracy, we do not despair because our steadfast belief in Turkish Idealism endures, grounded in this profound truth.

Centuries ago, Karacaoğlan eloquently mused on the very notion of the 'relativity of time':

«Though I live a thousand years, I reckon not with death;
Were I to keep a ledger, all I'd own is but one day.»

«Bin yaşasam hesâb etmem ölümü / defter tutsam olancası bir gündür.»

I intend to use Bluesky as a journal. «It is well known with what interests nations record their histories. The same interests apply to the individual when chronicling their own. Me-ti said: Everyone must be the historian of their own life; thus one lives with greater vigilance and discernment.»

What is the true nature of those who disguise their ideological fantasies and political agendas as morality, veiled in pseudo-academic jargon, denouncing all dissent as immorality, and masking their ineptitude beneath the guise of activism? It is nothing more than junk social science.

Lost in a reverie within my bureau, my gaze falls upon my private collection of and rare and precious volumes. At that moment, I recall the master's wistful words: «I have no children, yet my library was a son to me.»

My stance on everyday politics is unequivocal. All who enter the system inevitably become players bound by its rules, gradually compromising their ideals. In time, factions of every persuasion are reduced to mere cogs, indistinguishable in their role of keeping the wheel turning yet another cycle.

Pushkin, at the tender age of fifteen, penned his first heroic poem. Upon reading it, Derzhavin lavished him with praise, declaring, «You shall wear my crown.» The concept of "el alma" at its finest."

In Reha Oğuz Türkkan's «Türkçülüğe Giriş», there are remarkably serious references to Maurras, Léon Daudet, and Maurice Pujo. He seems well-versed in the literature of Action Française, describing them as "a handful of French intellectuals resisting the maladies of pacifism and parliamentarianism."

The growing anti-German sentiment in Turkey is now a fact. How the tides of history turn! Karl Adolf Rexin recounts that during the Seven Years' War, when Frederick the Great trounced Russia and Austria, Istanbul's streets and coffeehouses echoed with cheers of "Brandenburg, Brandenburg!".
