I believe it's not just oil. It's an "America is my backyard and if you don't follow my rules, you're out" statement. That would partially explain why he is focused on Greenland as well. Scary times.

What do you mean by agents here? A long run of claude code in the terminal (or any similar tools) or something like "claude code on the web"?
