…But it does seem like Herbert kinda catches it both ways. In ‘21 when he put up 5k and 40 TDs, he wasn’t even in MVP discussion bc his his record wasn’t good enough due to a historically bad defense but now his defense is too good for Herbert to put up gaudy numbers

Tbh, I don’t think it’s just the defense but it’s also that Herbert has been incredibly efficient since his ankle injury has healed. I agree that MVP level is a bit too far.

While I agree with you to an extent, I just wish it was a more interesting heel reaction vs people simply just saying Chiefs pay the refs or that NFL is fixing it for Taylor Swift. We can get more flavor than that.
