jesus i was watching for a bit hoping they would just get on with it already, what did he do?
i stopped watching after lee prattled on ceaselessly about earmarks and they sat in complete silence for like fifteen minutes
January 30, 2026 at 4:39 AM
omitted a b whoops
but i wanted to mention, it seems like this is a trend
i watched a senator back in either december or november get on the floor at the end of the day advocating for another one and touting all the wins, like nixing funds for trans healthcare
which was not in the final bill?
January 21, 2026 at 6:24 PM
is this about the obba?
January 21, 2026 at 6:22 PM
longstanding amendment to an approps bill from the 70s maintained still to this day that prohibits federal funding for abortions
January 20, 2026 at 4:41 PM
cried for a solid 20 minutes when i searched through the bill and couldn't find the anti-trans provisions
there was a split second i was convinced i'd just missed them
January 20, 2026 at 3:34 PM
that's a roundabout way of signaling you think she deserved it and i think it's cowardly you didn't just come out and fucking say it
January 16, 2026 at 8:01 PM
i know you've probably been told this or have known about it, but if you can still get in to see a provider, you may be able to use goodrx to help cover the cost of the medication
and if you're in a state with meijer stores, ask their pharmacy about their discount program

wouldn't bluesky being inhospitable drive traffic to twitter? or make leaving twitter a less appealing prospect? i wonder if it's possible people could be trying to troll for elon's sake
January 15, 2026 at 4:52 AM
i don't really know much about you as a person but if i can offer something simple i think you're really cool
thank you for being around
January 13, 2026 at 12:22 AM
that people don't see how instrumental she's been in tempering or outright neutering anti-trans legislation in the house is MADDENING
January 12, 2026 at 2:05 AM
this is true and important to note as well is that the provisions currently in the house approps committee draft of the hhs bill were also in the house version of it in 2023 (worded slightly differently) and were removed upon negotiations
time will tell, we need to maintain pressure
January 12, 2026 at 2:00 AM
just fund everything else via cr to the end of the fiscal year
but who knows what will actually happen
everything has been changing so fast
this package was originally supposed to include dhs and they had to nix it after the Good shooting
January 12, 2026 at 1:08 AM
that's what they're saying, and i've been seeing people say it may all end up being funded via continuing resolution
but unsure about that as so many predictions have been wrong or slightly inaccurate
one of the approps higher ups in the house said if we didn't get everything by jan 30 -
January 12, 2026 at 1:08 AM
i think so yes, but that would be a federal rule
it would not be a law
meaning unlike the provision in the previous version of the financial services approps bill, it would be easily rolled back by a future administration
January 12, 2026 at 1:01 AM
it is *possible*
you are correct
however, the senate approps committees have already released their versions of these bills without these provisions
and they were included in previous years and removed in negotiations like this
there is still hope, but we must stay vigilant
January 12, 2026 at 1:00 AM
i was dumbfounded when i couldn't find those provisions, i thought i wasn't searching well enough
they were some bad ones and they were some i could have sworn would garner enough bipartisan support to survive conferencing
January 5, 2026 at 9:10 PM
yeah shit sucks
i can't really conjure up any more thoughts than that, all this shit has me hanging on by a thread :/
December 18, 2025 at 1:31 AM
they're all trump district dems.
December 18, 2025 at 12:54 AM
this is the house of representatives
john fetterman is in the senate and is, i'm told, quite paradoxically (given his other defections) pro-trans
December 18, 2025 at 12:53 AM
almost certainly
December 18, 2025 at 12:23 AM
to give you some slight hope, this is not expected by anyone to pass the senate
if it even gets brought up for a vote at all
December 18, 2025 at 12:20 AM
two dems from texas and one from north carolina, who's surprised about those states?
December 18, 2025 at 12:05 AM
it's december.
December 17, 2025 at 11:39 PM
mars needs moms if i'm not mistaken
December 15, 2025 at 8:07 PM
what avenue would they have to do this
