Haha, I will only read out of order if I don’t think the ongoing plot matters. Finch has way too much story-build to skip around, though I may not have a choice if I don’t find the elusive installment soon. Agree on tone, I think he does this better than anyone else. Same for historical atmosphere

So weird, right? Nobody stocks those. And I can’t tell you how disappointed I was when I found out Charles Finch lived in LA. Like..what? I actually just finished the third prequel, still missing one in the middle of the regular series that is preventing me from catching up.

Oh yes, I read a ton of kids books (usually with my actual kids), I just don’t log them unless they’re notably good.

That’s a good lineup you’ve got there! Something odd about the way the Emma books were published here for sure. No print copies readily available either, I had to order from the UK.

Yes! I believe there are two more coming, but no pub date announced yet. Ooh, say more! I had mixed feelings about it as well. I’m still behind on Charles because I’m missing a book from the middle of the series. Wondering if it’s time to give in and do that one on audio so I can continue.

Emma does trump everything! And the books are getting longer as the series progresses! Also, I’m now buying paper copies for the library but listening to them on audio because Genevieve is AMAZING. I think I could listen to her narrate just about anything, and she’s a perfect Emma.

Haha! Funnily enough I found that book in the $5 bin at a bookshop about 500 yards from Harvard Yard. The sequel is still eluding me. Glad you’re catching up on Emma. I just got book 7, and I think 8 is shipping soon too.
