LQBTQ+ people shouldn’t feel invalidated because of who they are. It might not be a huge contribution in the grand scheme of things, but if it helps even one person out there, I’ll run as many laps as it takes!

In the times we’re living in now, it’s imperative that LGBTQ+ youth are heard, supported, and accepted for who they are. Even though this is a small gesture at a short track in Texas that I expect no coverage over, I want to help my fellow human beings where I can.

I’m still going to run it for the July race, and continue my original plan:
For every lap I complete between qualifying, heats, and the feature, I will be donating $5 per lap to The Trevor Project, possibly as much as $200!

Got forbid we get some wheel-to-wheel racing 😭
