I veer towards the facts in the observer article and the Raynor defence seems somewhat shifty…but I’m willing to accept that some aspects aren’t clear cut. She still comes out of it looking bad.

Very odd - I was sure I had bought the book but I’ve just dug around in my library and can’t find it. Maybe I didn’t or it is just hiding in shame somewhere.

Agreed. I bought the book because I wanted to read about the walking. Not so interested in the illness-to-wellness memoir aspect.

Just read the article. I have the book but not yet read it. Wonder whether I will now or just read it with awareness of the deceit…all rather uncomfortable.
