Today, I cut off the back of her head and scooped out her brains.

The clay bust from behind, with the region to be removed marked out. Some of the clay has been removed to reveal the newspaper-stuffed bag where her brain would be. The newspaper 'brain' is removed.

A strange thing happened in the kiln today. I don't know why the engobe on the bottom of the mug behaved like this. A friend had a pot with the same engobe in the same kiln, and it came out completely normal 🤷‍♀️
