The director was clear that the arc of the season is overall for positive and for joy. Tbh I was not a fan of the 3rd episode since it seemed jarring to switch the focus to new characters, but I kinda get what they're setting up, and that it'll be for the good of the main characters in the end.

Such a great classic story line- the child who is A Disappointment. And those Great Lineages can be SO full of pomp and self importance! Flint, time to stop answering their calls.
