Great article on The Atlantic about the aging political class in US politics. It is inconceivable to an Australian to have octogenarians or even septuagenarians remain in Parliament or the judiciary. Unfathomable. And I’m 72 so it not an age bias!

Anyone’s guess as to what happens in Syria now. Three groups all united by opposition to Assad now have to find more common ground. Not optimistic.

Can’t see any changes happening to the Australian cricket team (just yet) but players getting some Shield matches in prior to the 1st Test, or a couple of lead up matches might have helped.

Interesting to see just how much of the Trump rhetoric on tariffs, climate change, immigration and Ukraine and Israel translates into real policies. Hopefully not much.

Trump is a showman and a con man with a feudal outlook. As long as the stock market and corporate America is thriving, everything else will look after itself. All his policies and appointments are designed to disrupt and undermine the regulatory establishment.
