I miss driving to college basketball games in the dark at 5:30

There’s not a better place to spend a summer night

FWIW, Ryan Curry is listed on Army's 2025-26 roster

This summer is Keith Urgo's first taste of the high school coaching game with a young Gonzaga team. So where does he stand with his team after an 0-2 day at @madehoops.bsky.social Team Camp?

David Riley was just casually watching his old boss coach a week into his new job when a Division III player on the opposing team caught his eye

Now, Cedric Coward is going to the NBA. Here's the story www.midmajormadness.com/2025/5/23/24...
Cedric Coward started his college career at Division III, now he’s going to the NBA

I’m looking forward to posting many many times about Kevair Kennedy once November comes around.

My early pick for MAAC Rookie of the Year
jmverlin.bsky.social
Merrimack’s got a special one in Kevair Kennedy. Should step right into Budd Clark’s shoes. Looking forward to 100 @samfederman.bsky.social posts about him come November.

For the second consecutive year, I have correctly predicted the national champion.

Oddly, I regretted this pick from the moment I submitted it, was convinced Duke would get it done.

But insane that Florida beat UConn, Maryland, Texas Tech, Auburn, AND Houston. Wild path.

My All-Tournament Team Ballot

It’s an absolute honor to vote for Iona legend, and NATIONAL CHAMPION Walter Clayton Jr. with my first ever NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player vote.
samfederman.bsky.social
FLORIDA WINS THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!

Emanuel Sharp couldn’t get a shot off, and the Cougars didn’t race quick enough for the ball.

WHAT A COMEBACK BY THE GATORS!!!!!!

Unreal heartbreak for Houston
samfederman.bsky.social
Houston is dictating everything about how this game is played, but only leads by 3 at halftime.

Think Florida should try to get Clayton off the ball in the second half, try to run something for him, or just use his gravity to create some cuts.

Last college basketball game for 210 days.

Cherish it, guys.

FINAL: Houston 70, Duke 67

UNREAL COMEBACK BY HOUSTON! Dead to rights down by 14 with 8:17 left, the Cougars turned on the clamps and come back to win it.

Cryer kept them in the game for much of it, led them with 27.

It’s Houston vs Florida for the championship
samfederman.bsky.social
Sion James just barely gets the timeout off before the 5-second violation -- that Kelvin Sampson badly wanted -- would've been called.

One timeout left for Duke.
samfederman.bsky.social
Emanuel Sharp drains two free throws and the Cougars are within 5.

1:27 to decide who will play Florida for a national championship on Monday night.

Duke 59
Houston 55

3:44 | 2H

Proctor is headed to the line after the media but Houston has come back to make it a four-point game. The Cougar crowd is alive and electric in the Alamodome. Duke with just one field goal in the last 9:40 of game time.
samfederman.bsky.social
That turns into a six point possession for the Cougars as Cryer goes one-for -two on the deadball technical, and makes a runner. Now just an 8 point game.
samfederman.bsky.social
Duke 59
Houston 48

7:58 | 2H

Cryer hits his sixth three, and the officials are going #ToTheMonitor to figure out what happened elsewhere on the play. Duke still in control of the game though.

samfederman.bsky.social
Make that four fouls on Uzan with 8:17 to play and Duke already ahead by 13. Two FT's coming up for Proctor.
samfederman.bsky.social
That was an uncomfortably long amount of time to be on the jumbotron right in front of Chris Beard
samfederman.bsky.social
Duke 50
Houston 42

13:30 | 2H

Cougars are 6-8 from the field in the second half, and are breaking down the Duke defense after 18ish minutes where it simply couldn't get anything, but the Blue Devils are with them stride for stride. Flagg and Knueppel each drain threes.
samfederman.bsky.social
HALFTIME: Duke 34, Houston 28

Massive three by LJ Cryer with Maliq Brown right in his grill to cut the Duke lead down to 6, and then for Houston to get a stop going into the break.

Cougars are 5-11 from three, but just 4-18 from two.

I'm not sure how it looked on TV but this is the 106th basketball game I've been to this year and that finish might be the most impressive I've seen
