Trump is sending the military everywhere he can to crack down on opposition and the Dem governor of NJ is bragging about his new initiative to build up that very institution of repression.

This steady increase in the use of the military for domestic policing has been happening since day one of this administration. For a while before they were deputizing the military in DC they were deputizing soldiers in Texas. The militarization of DC was built incrementally over months.

Happening now in Newark, activists have convened in Military Park to launch a Break The Bonds campaign. They're demanding the state of NJ stop investing in bonds to Israel to end the genocide in Gaza, Israeli apartheid, and war on Iran.

Community organization Spirit of Liberation - Jersey City posted a video of the police presence. Along with these police outside the facility, they show at least 10 cop cars in the road leading up to the facility with their lights flashing, and a drone overheard.

There will be a protest outside the French consulate in NYC on June 17 demanding the charges against Anasse Kazib be dropped an denouncing all attacks on the Palestine solidarity movement:

I feel like there’s not enough appreciation for the fact that we’ve seen multiple examples of ordinary people facing off in the streets against militarized feds to protect immigrants. There’s examples of this in San Diego, Minneapolis, NYC, and likely others. A very important political phenomenon.

Right now outside NJ Transit's $500 million headquarters NJ Transit engineers are beginning to show up to demand that they be paid what they deserve!

Activists participating in these protests include socialists, liberals, student activists, immigrants, workers, people coming from the movement for Palestine, and more. These pictures were provided to me by activists from local pro-Palestine orgs SOMA Collective for Palestine and Ceasefire Now NJ.

The movement against ICE in New Jersey is drawing a wide range of sectors from communities across NJ that are typically divided by histories of redlining and racial and economic injustice.

ICYMI: I reviewed Trump’s foreign policy in his first 100 days. Everything from his renewed Monroe Doctrine to his trade war, how it all ties together, and what it says about the place of the US in the world.

They're incrementally normalizing the use of the military for law enforcement.

The military arresting migrants should be enough to alarm people, but backpackers, reporters, scientists, and anyone who crosses into these DoD zones could also be arrested by soldiers.

Ale Vilca, Indigenous deputy in Argentina's Congress, was teargassed because he joined retirees protesting in the streets. He joins them every Wednesday. We in the US should have higher expectations of what it means to have socialists act as representatives of the working class.

ICYMI this week I wrote about how immigrant rights activists and Palestine activists are organizing together against attacks from ICE.

I regularly cover foreign policy, immigration policy, and social movements.

I'm sure every anti-Zionist Jewish protester knew this is how the Far Right would respond, and still they took Trump's lobby.

Zionists throw tantrums over images of watermelons.

No wonder so many Jews are increasingly choosing the first option as the path to liberation.
