Another limitation... on FB, I'm very choosey about my "Friends List", so I can block my posts from the random public. Not sure how to do anything like that here.

Some folks post links to their actual blogs, to get broader coverage here. E.g. my sister has a blog, and posts links on all her social media including FB. Might not suit your needs, but it's an option.

Hey John! I'm also checking out BlueSky. I was never a Twitter user, and the BlueSky format and security may not suit my needs. I prefer to connect with friends and specific groups. No time to read a stream of unsolicited stuff. Will see. Good to see you here! 👍
