IonQ is trending up again today after CEO's remarks. However, if trapped ions are the future of #quantumcomputing, gate speed will need to get MUCH faster (down to microsecond speeds), or new, even more efficient quantum algorithms will need to be found: #FTQC calcs can't take years to be practical.
