I think that 'moyd' being derogatory (or at the very least quite outdated) is pretty universal among modern Yiddish speakers but I'm not actually sure if 'yung' is derogatory in the same way among all speakers. It definitely sounds odd to me at best, but I'm non-native so who knows.

Actually this got me curious about how many Sams we had in my family, and it seems that just in that same branch as the Asers we had at least 3 Sams (many fewer than the Asers but still interesting given the close familial and temporal proximity), all named some variation of Shlomo in Hebrew.

Although the real endemic name in my family was at one point "Aser" (עוזר), named all for the same grandfather, and all living in Vancouver together and on the same youth baseball team.

Of my two first-namesakes we knew one of them was really Shlomo, what we didn't know until more recently is that the other Sam was also Shlomo, we always assumed he was Shmuel.

Yes I'm sure the misgendering was overblown, as can be evidenced by you doing it just now to someone else.

I'm also not certain I understand the advertising strategy here, instead of the pull tabs being information about the website they are just things you can say to the AI?

Why would we hate him for doing the right thing and just generally being a compassionate person?

Some of these feel like they're burying the lede of what the crazy personal view is that made them vote the way they did (i.e. voting for Trump out of support for Israel and the 2A but Israel or 2A not being mentioned in the personal views section). Still nonsensical, but makes it harder as a quiz.

I also haven't checked every part of the 500s branch I'm just trusting geni to be right.

I definitely lucked out when I connected a branch to the Horowitz family and suddenly went from like the early 1700s to the 500s (through a mother of a Horowitz). The furthest back I can go on most other branches is like 1800.

This has pretty much a potential audience of 2, one being the person who first told me which it was (who doesn't follow me on bsky), and the second being PY Mund but I have no reason to believe he'd actually know.
