I am grateful for the work PP does. I’m also weary of forever hearing about its federal funding. How much energy, time, talent, $ is burned lobbying and fighting to retain that funding? Perhaps it’s time to move on and figure out how to operate w/out it?

Brian, using “wealthy” is misleading. Perhaps “more affluent” would be more appropriate. Lots of parents in Montgomery who send kids to private schools who struggle to pay for it but feel they have no choice. Those are the vast majority in private schools.

Meeting and getting to know trans people via the church I have attended for the past 35 years. We became a place that welcomes all-especially the marginalized-over the years.Trans adults and families w trans kids found us and are a part of us now.

A one who has spent all of my 59+ years in the Deep South, I feel very strongly that those who like me know this place and its culture granularity and are able to be honest about it, have a unique “superpower” in understanding the human condition and Americas deep flaws.
