I'm a Marvel fan so it'd be hypocritical, but there does seem to be a corporate mindset to keep chasing the next blockbuster check

Franchises have done a great harm to the world of cinema I stg. Nothing can be a solid standalone story anymore, it needs to set up a whole ass expanded universe.
