Only place that'll have him.

Oh and we're also checking that you haven't already voted that day, obvs.

AND THEN you would have to do this repeatedly all over the county because you can't go to the same polling place twice because we will recognice you! So try keeping track of all that. Republican accusations of voter fraud are lies.
/end!

Even if you could forge many signatures (DOUBTFUL) and you knew the address & DOB of each sig you forged (DOUBTFUL), you would still need to know the polling place and whether your forgery victim had already voted that day and get there ahead of them (EVEN MORE DOUBTFUL).

Don't even get me started on how "insecure" it is to require just a signature to sign in at the polls and how easy it is to fake your identity. It would be a logistical nightmare to try to impersonate even one other voter, let alone do so in any significant numbers to affect an election.

Demanding proof of citizenship at the polls would be like demanding a passport in addition to a driver's license at a traffic stop. Your license is proof you were vetted and are allowed to drive and it's all the permission you need to have. Same with voter registration and showing up at the polls.

When you show up to vote and sign in, we are simply checking that you're registered. If you are, then we know 1) you're a citizen and 2) you're voting in the correct location and THAT IS ALL WE NEED TO KNOW.
