It’s not yet a registered political party and has no paid-up members. It’s a free mailing list, asking folks what it should call itself.

Meanwhile Green Party members have the opportunity to #BackZack for a progressive, energised future. The Greens will work with C&S so long as it’s a 2-way thing.

I’ve addressed the point about whether the Greens should join the [unnamed] Party. They haven’t yet taken anyone from the Greens as no one has paid for membership. And the Greens can expect to do great under Zack whilst another socialist party has MPs who abstain on abortion or LGBT rights.

So the Greens, who have not had a reduction in councillors since 2017 and have an established democratic platform, should join this party because they have a more popular man in charge, even if most of the MPs who will join the party have voted in favour of private school tax breaks?

I hope so. My fear is that two progressives can hold the exact same opinions, but because they differ on how to tax the rich or whether HS2 should be built, they’ll push each other away. And the corporate-owned media would love nothing more, so will fund this problem heavily.

Yeah thats fair enough really. Hopefully Zack really does establish himself as truly left-wing, which I think he’s been doing since he has become deputy leader.

But when have the (albeit imperfect) Greens reversed policy due to the general public opinion? Corbyn has a few times (e.g. Brexit positioning, deputy leadership ousting). I like Corbyn but this new party makes no change from what is on offer other than a free leadership position.

Seems that Zack is a strong advocate for socialism though?

I like Corbyn and Sultana, but what is this *potential* new party offering that Zack leading the Greens is not offering?

I’m all for a red-green alliance. But the media will divide us the second we take stand a chance of winning a majority. It’s happened in almost every other scenario in every other country, and the left in Britain is not immune; here I am discrediting them for this whole… naming situation.
