There's a scene in Netflix's Daredevil (wish that show was still on!) at the end of the last season where Kingpin realizes he's the villain. It's utterly brilliant and D'onofrio plays that character so damn well. He steals every scene he's in.

The GOP is not quite as sympathetic.

That was utterly disgusting. Like much of what Trump does. I guess he couldn't figure out a way to make the school shooting about himself, though.

The thing he made clear was that he doesn't think the post should have been sent out -- not that he disagrees with any of its contents.

It was pretty disturbing that Trump did that, but I'm not sure your "turnabout is fair okay" move is actually going to work. 1) it's overbroad, 2) most men aren't ogled enough to develop a dislike for it.

A dying laptop? Doesn't the War Room have an electric outlet? Or are they covered with the child-proof caps?

I'm in New Jersey and all I can think watching this video is, " Damn. No snow? T-shirt?"

But I do like the mug.

After I had kids, I realized how horribly my mom had done and how her decisions made no sense whatsoever.

I'd bet quite a lot of money that someone has indeed prevented someone from saying "Merry Christmas" -- most likely that authoritarian was a Christian.

People clinging to destroyed wreckage didn't radio for backup? Their entire boat was destroyed and they were swimming, what makes anyone think they had a functional radio setup at that point?!

I had to deal with relatives this weekend who insist, "well all politicians are the same anyway."

No. They're not. They're really fucking not.

I don't believe him. In fact, the mere fact he's saying that makes me suspect he is promising things privately to some people that serve their interests.

I do believe he's not promising anything good for the American people, though.

I'm really not sure I believe a single announcement from this administration.

And grocery stores had better not dare interfere by offering special discounts to SNAP recipients!

Starvation is a Republican ideal.

Chilling. At this point I'm glad my son didn't take his acceptance to Northwestern. Though I guess no city is safe.

A good thing

Let's note that in his talk with Jonathan Karl, Mike Johnson said he "hopes" he can swear Grijalva in the first day Congress is back.

Which we all know he means that he's working hard on yet another excuse NOT to swear her in on that day.

The only family member whose orientation I care about, I'm married to.

I saw a guy in Trader Joe wearing an "LGBT" short with images of the statue of Liberty, an AR-15, a bottle of beer, and the orange despot below the letters. Had to resist the urge to say something nasty.

Being a king isn't about how much you work -- some despotic kings probably work very hard.

Not Trump, of course. He delegates a lot of his cruelty.

This is, by the way, apparently a false (or at least unverified) quote.

The no kings rally wasn't about trump winning the election -- it was about what he's done since winning the election.
