Not a great look when a president who received four student deferments and a medical deferment for bone spurs uses AI to make himself look like a fictional Vietnam War colonel and declares war on an American city. Stolen valor? Treason? How many high crimes and misdemeanors are in play here?

“Trump” and “I ❤️ the Constitution”: two sentiments that can’t readily coexist.

And the award for the richest irony in presidential history goes to… Donald Trump, for promoting a video that features the caption “no one is above the law.” What a farce. What a disgrace.

There are lots of fake tweets on the Internet. This isn’t one of them.

I love how queer visibility is a sign of moral decline while assassinating dissidents and ravaging neighboring countries is a sign of traditional virtue.

I predicted this, not that it took a genius to do so. Nonetheless, even I’m surprised by just how rapidly the situation is deteriorating.

Maybe Donald Trump is so fixated on Greenland because he’s only seen it on maps using the Mercator projection and he genuinely believes it’s larger than most of the continents.

Now that he’s a priest as well as a king, Donald Trump is 2/3 of the way to being Jesus Christ.

“Is the Pope Catholic?”: no longer a rhetorical question.

@nytimes.com I know this isn’t breaking news but how on Earth did I get zero skill points for guessing the correct answer?

I wonder if Rand Paul still stands by this tweet.

Fighting diseases in other countries can help prevent them from spreading here, thereby serving our national self-interest. How do you respond to an administration that is too corrupt to act altruistically and too foolish to act selfishly?

The Big Tech CEOs all lined up to kiss the ring and now we’re seeing the first fruits of their new allegiance… sort of. On Apple Maps, the body of water along our third coast is called the Gulf of Mexico when viewed from afar and the Gulf of America when viewed up close.

I love the annual tradition of the denizens of whatever city’s team won the Super Bowl rioting. If “a riot is the language of the unheard,” what is the message here?

I’m not sure which I find more distasteful, the ease with which a vandal defaces private property or the ease with which he misspells words.

At least one commentator approves of Trump‘s tariffs.

I’m sure this is far from the only Tesla owner who feels less than enthusiastic about Elon Musk’s political turn. Maybe board members and shareholders think it’s better to be alternately adored and reviled than to be an increasingly undistinguished player in a saturated market.

It’s immoral for elected officials to use their positions to enrich themsel - oh, wait; never mind.

The philosophical mind is distinguished from the ordinary mind by its ability to perceive how subtle distinctions in language can create profound differences in meaning.

Judging from the still from “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” in the background, London c. 1970 was a wondrous place. [cont’d]

The Salish Sea comprises Puget Sound, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Canada’s Strait of Georgia. It’s a valuable name for drawing attention to the history and interconnectedness of those waterways but less helpful when geographical precision matters.
