Funny because Melb trains can't do anything interesting. They go down one line, back the same line - Sydney you actually might need to care where they go.

NSW has signs, which is honestly weird but I suspect it's politically challenging to change it. Also you could put a sign up with no camera for cheap mitigation 😂
Other states can use cameras anywhere, and Victoria tends to be a bit stricter just generally.

There's a bit of flip flopping as to whether you must be told there's a camera being used.
And police cars with cameras may often have a sign, but it's pretty subtle.
But the fixed ones have giant signs which honestly deter speeding _by themselves_. Which is great for 'hotspots'.

I spend 99% of my time in Chromium-based things and Terminal anyway so the weird UX flourishes barely effect me
