Nature Metabolism, Published online: 08 September 2025; doi:10.1038/s42255-025-01366-yKaluba, Rogers et al. show that in cancer cells that can metabolize ketones, they may reroute them to produce cytosolic acetyl-CoA and support tumour growth.
