#NCFC have revealed big stadium plans. In the short-term they’ll move away fans to the River End and create a fan zone outside the Barclay, but it’s the start of a process they hope ends with City Stand expansion. A lot of focus on increasing matchday revenue too.

The intent from #NCFC looked a lot better to me, and they’re controlling the game pretty high up the pitch. But there’s no clear pattern to create chances. Combine that with a poorly-defended goal and that’s why they’re behind.

The #NCFC style of play question is an interesting one. Clearly after JHT, Ben Knapper wanted more of a balance.

While proactive football can be achieved pragmatically, I think they need to be much more attacking to achieve that balance. My column 👇

It certainly wasn’t pretty, but #NCFC grew into that half. They didn’t give away too many real chances, and although offensively they haven’t done loads, they’ve done enough to have the lead. Much better response to the opener than at Coventry.

A mixed half from #NCFC, but one they really grew into. Matej Jurasek, Pelle Mattsson, Jack Stacey and Jakov Medic all impressive. Had to ride their kick a couple of times, but Liam Manning will be pleased by the last 25 minutes.

It was backs to the wall stuff, but #NCFC will be delighted to be 1-0 up. They’ve had to ride their luck defensively, but at the other end Diallo, Kvistgaarden and Sargent allow them to counter with real pace. Big goal for MK.

Really good half from #NCFC. Limited Blackburn defensively, controlled possession and created enough chances for Josh Sargent to score four on a good day. Now the challenge is to keep it up, but against 10 men they’ll back themselves (forget about last year).

#NCFC have completed the signing of Pelle Mattsson from Silkeborg for an initial £2.7m, rising to £3m. Someone they’ve tracked for a long while and moved quickly back to with Marcelino Núñez joining Ipswich. Mattsson signs a three-year deal with a club option.

There it is. Confirmation of perhaps the most controversial #NCFC transfer story in recent memory. Hard to argue with the £10m fee, but there will still be many City fans who will feel that Ben Knapper shouldn’t have picked up the phone. Will be an interesting reunion.
