For beginners, Bambu machines are great. Easy to use and reliable. If you want a more open-source direction, Prusa, but they can require more tinkering.

I can see how that design would be challenging. This case is BIG, I imagine adding more compartments would necessitate making it bigger.

I’ll think about this, see if I can come up with anything.

And because I have to complain in multiple places. I sent off an email to their support channel complaining about that self-sabotaging policy, and put it on my blog.

I came up with this idea ~a decade ago, but just recently got the nerve to actually build the damn thing.

I don't want to jump back into the tech mega-corp world, so I'm trying to build things on my own to pay the bills. This is the first venture, there will be more to come.

Pay2Win is evil, but its a "lawful evil", which I think differentiates it from other scammy game mechanics. Its up-front about what you're getting, I don't spam people, I'm not selling data, and there are no games of chance.

What you pay for is useless, sure, but you know that going in.

Gonna be a broken record here: I love the art direction! The juxtaposition of real insect photos in the background of the cartoon world is striking in the best way.

To me, Rise felt like a game, whereas Wilds feels like work. In Wilds, I need to do some bullshit checklist things to get past the story so I can play the real game with my friends.

In Rise, it was fairly trivial to get in a game with friends and just pick something to smack around. In Wilds, especially at the beginning, it’s a lot of "can’t skip this also it’s not a menu because it has to feel natural" story progression that doesn’t lend itself to pick-up-and-play lobbies.
