The thing about Severance that strikes me the most is how it consistently shows how all* the innies get increasingly radicalized by love. Love inspires them to rage against the machine.

TODAY IS THE DAY PEOPLE LETS GET READY FOR WEAPONS IN THEATERS!!!!!
Quite a few exciting movies coming out this year, but tbh my most anticipated is Zach Cregger’s Weapons. Cregger proved himself a master of building tension & weaponizing your own imagination to intensify the horror w/ Barbarian. And the little they’ve shown of Weapons looks terrifying.

we all already assumed as much, but honestly i’m quite enjoying two of the worst people on earth going for each other’s throats

Andor s2 includes some of the most dynamically composed shots in all SW, but that’s just one of the many things this show does exceptionally well. I hope everyone listens to what this show is saying, the message of revolution is as important today as it always has been, perhaps even more.

This year has been delivering some astonishingly excellent television—Severance, The Rehearsal, The Pitt, Andor, Common Side Effects, Righteous Gemstones, The Studio, etc. With Poker Face premiering tomorrow & Always Sunny later this summer, I believe we are witnessing a truly seminal year of TV.

Andor is insane bc never in my life have i been worried about being so emotionally devastated by a film i’ve already seen (Rogue One). Been a couple yrs, & Andor is creating such a rich emotional tapestry that when the inevitable happens in R1, idk if i’ll be able to emotionally handle it

Andor remains not only some of the best Star Wars we’ve ever gotten, but also some of the best TV of the past decade. Thoroughly enjoying season 2 so far! Beautiful, bold, exciting, efficient, smartly written & quite funny

Every so often a film comes around that exemplifies everything i love about cinema. Sinners is undoubtedly one of those films. Run don’t walk To see it in IMAX.

Daredevil Born Again is a tragic case of forced brutality attempting to make up for lackluster fight sequences. A few moments have the sauce, but cutting to CGI blood spurting isn’t going to make a fight any more interesting to watch.

Ontop of that they dont abuse their lack of constraints to demonstrate the normal brutality the job requires. It appropriately uses special effects make up for different procedures or accidents incredibly well. Love love loveeee the one hour an episode format too!

Getting into The Pitt this week. Damn. Show makes me cry every episode, but i love it. Supreme acting across the board (Noah Wyle especially), effective camerawork, & incredible sound design all make for a tense, yet surprisingly tender medical drama. Big fan.

The White Lotus s3: acting so good & cinematography so stylish that it’ll trick ya into thinking the show is saying something profound.

Not gonna lie & say i didn’t enjoy every episode, but at the end of it all i found much of the character work to be heavy handed & the themes to be half-baked.

The Studio is great for a lot of reasons, but Seth Rogen’s physical comedy is extremely underrated. Dude makes a fucking MEAL out of a pratfall, we love to see it.

Everything I’m hearing about Zach Cregger’s Weapons is getting me so so hyped, yet i don’t want to hear anything else. Barbarian was a god tier theater experience going in blind, so i can’t wait to see what he’s cooked up next.
