the friends who care will stick around, regardless of whether or not you appease them, but it is understandably scary to stop doing that. we were really afraid that we'd lose all social connections we had.

relate to this experience a lot. we felt like we had to sexually appease people in one of our old friend groups. at some point we noticed they cared a lot more about the appeasement than us as a friend. kinda drifted away from them after that.

And then you'll click onto their page and see that they follow like 13 thousand other accounts and that their posts mostly just consist of "advice" that I wouldn't take in a million years.
