Chicago Cubs. 2016 game seven is my forever happy place. I honor my brother Michael who passed before.

THIS TIME Lucy won't take away the football, not THIS TIME, I'm a very very smart, with-it, caring senator and I'm sure that THIS TIME the promise Lucy made will never ever be broken, oh btw please give to my campaign before you die!

Another interesting note, about 240 ballots that were previously challenged due to signature issues. This suggests "ballot curing efforts" may be having an effect and could even prove decisive. About 1,700 ballots remained challenged, according to King County Elections.

in chicago’s austin neighborhood around 8 am:
this horrific video posted to social media shows at least four feds open a person’s car door, then handcuff and abduct them from laramie avenue.

Justice Sotomayor's first question pushed GEO on how they were stretching the precedent to create a new kind of immunity (one which they claimed had actually been there the whole time!).
She made the obvious point: if the government pays someone to break the law, why should the company be immune?

truly disturbing video from palatine.
agents appear to drive onto a sidewalk in pursuit. as they wrestle to put a young person in the car, the driver starts to pull away. the person recording shouts, “they’re tasing him!”
unclear if they actually used the taser, but you can hear it charging up.

The holiday is huge here. Every store adds a whole outdoor tent full of shelving to stock enough snacks, and more people celebrate than Valentine's Day.
However, 11/12 is the REAL holiday. It's Clearance Pepero/Pocky Day.

Both are mini crunchy breadsticks dipped in varieties of chocolate.
Pocky is thinner and more pretzel-like, and the dippings are light glazings.
Pepero is slightly thicker and cookie-like, so it can hold chunkier dippings like chocolate-covered nuts and crushed oreos.
Almond Pepero is the best.
