You can learn a lot from trying to achieve something you have never done before. During that process, the main constraint can shift.
Sometimes it feels like you have gone full circle and are back at square one. Until you realize you’re not...

Learned a lot of things during todays long run / race simulation. Main point is that I’m fit enough to run 71k in 7h03 (1050m elevation), but that I wouldn’t have finished a 100k today. 10 weeks to go to Passatore

I’ve finally switched from consuming to contributing on Substack.
Together with teammate Bart van der Wal I will share bits and pieces around our journey towards Ötillö World Championships

60k run - check

Would I finish Passatore if I had to do it today? Probably.

Would I be able to run the full distance and/or finish sub10h? Highly unlikely.

Fortunately, there are still more than 3 months to go.

Oops, crazy plan #2 has just hatched. Thanks Ötillö for awarding us a wildcard!

Another step towards Passatore in the books. 55k long run in BYU-style (7x 7,9km, start every hour) for a total running time of 5h20 and 630m elevation. All run by feel, 50” difference between fastest and slowest lap (5:45 - 5:51/km).
