Was about one hour where I was. Chatted with one of my neighbours in line, she spoke about how her parents were originally from Ukraine and they lived through the war. She recognized what was going on in the US and wanted to make sure she got her vote in so it did not happen here.

Poverty ensures compliance. Everything is out of reach, even if you work harder or longer. Poverty puts you at the mercy of someone else, your job, your boss or the company.

In the 1990's there was a recession and a Quebec politician stated if Quebec households purchased $35 a week of Quebec products there would not be a recession in Quebec and it would boost employment. Did not like the politician, but took his words to heart. Same holds true in this case.

Heinz ketchup is one that I still hold a grudge on. I believe it has been 10 years now. I might be off on the timing.
