I need information. When people write fantasy novels, they love for characters to grab "a fresh cake of soap" when they bathe. Am I to believe they use each bar once? Are some soaps dirty? Do they keep old ones for normal baths and new ones for the extra needed ones?

How many times is the average for shifting a bowl around in the dishwasher and running it again to see if the bowl gets clean this time? I'm at 7, just caved and hand washed it.
