Les plantes boivent par les feuilles. Souvent réfuté alors qu'on reconnaît l'utilité des "fertilisants" foliaires, aspersion et mouillage des feuilles en cas de sècheresse.

Another great delivery from the Cork Rooftop Farm in Cork City.
When the carrots are fresh, sweet and juicy and more appealing for l'apéritif than the bag of lentil crisps you planned to open, that's a job well done.

This is not France or Italy but the English Market in Cork. It's all Irish and it's all good. There are beautiful irish cheeses and chutneys available at shops and farmers markets accross the island, including reasonably priced cheddar for everyday use.
Ireland must be prouder of its food. #corkmas

Quick tours of the English Market this week. Stalls full to the brim with beautiful local produce.
Why is local important? It means freshness. Freshness is everything, it means taste and health. That's the secret of the best cooking traditions, simple or sophisticated, home or gastronomic. #corkmas

Nothing better than the fresh irish winds on a cold night to cool down a last minute freshly baked Tarte aux Pommes au naturel. Ready for the dinner party. Here's an ugly picture to celebrate.
Local apples, local butter, locally made apricot jam and irish flour.

The Rising Sons, their beers, their pizzas.
Changeling Pale Ale and blue cheese, mushrooms and walnuts calzone.
Like the company last night, they were perfect.
I 🖤 Cork and Cork food

A Food Capital rising is a beautiful thing. Sheridans ‪@sheridanscheese.bsky.social‬ now in Dunnes Douglas #Cork and still in smaller shops. Artisan cheese is often produced on a small scale with sustainable methods, even better if husbandry is humane and cruelty-free. Lots of Irish & local options.

A taste of summer before the storm in Cork City. This month of November has been... interesting, and 2024 definitely a year like no other. Bring on the winter and let's see what awaits.
