Delighted that over the past year, >1 million rapid diagnostic kits for cholera have been delivered to 14 @gavi.org-supported countries. Early #cholera detection strengthens surveillance and helps target vaccination programmes to where they are needed most.

Honoured to speak at the #Mandela20 event in London to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s legacy, including as @gavi.org’s inaugural Board Chair. Mandela taught us to fight injustice and that lesson prevails in Gavi’s mission to fight inequity and ensure children in lower-income access life-saving vaccines.

Pleased to welcome the arrival of #mpox vaccines in Rwanda. These were secured through an advance purchase agreement funded by @gavi.org’s First Response Fund, a mechanism created after the #COVID19 pandemic to ensure rapid access to vaccine supplies in future health emergencies.

In 2023 alone, more girls were protected against #cervicalcancer through @gavi.org-supported #HPV vaccine programmes than in the entire preceding decade. With support from donors, Gavi will protect >120 million girls, saving 1.5 million lives from 2026-2030. #ForOurFuture #WorldCancerDay

As well as being one of the most cost-effective health interventions, #vaccineswork to prevent poverty and generate economic benefits through increased productivity and wages, as well as reduced healthcare costs.
