Fantastic 4 felt like a nice breath of fresh air and then when building up to Doomsday we are getting regurgitated characters that are making me feel whelmed of the apparent direction this is going.

Give it another go, usually when these games initially go free, it's super buggy. Just wait like 20 minutes after and it is usually good.
