Also learning isn't just about career & making money. It is about shaping a better, deeper, more informed person, who can make a greater contribution to society. & also about doing the things you love. Probably too woke for Badenoch.

Most people I know who leave a heterosexual relationship for gay one do so b/c acknowledged true orientation. or stopped supressing it & realised their happiness lies elsewhere. Heterosexual relationship failed. Need for any more explanation than that? Probably more common that one thinks.

I agree it is obstructive. He doesn't need the entire Congress there to swear her in. He is holding off as long as possible, using any pretext that comes to hand, in the hope Epstein will go away. But Epstein's ghost is Banquo come to dinner. there will be no peace until Banquo speaks.

Now murderers. In any reasonable police agency , be an enquiry: officers would be suspended & charged with murder if found to have deliberately or recklessly killed. Have we gone so far as to excuse murder on Trump's watch? Is this how he gets away with killing someone on Pennsylvania Avenue?

What you learn from English is incalculable. The rich variety of English Literature is the cultural journey of a people. Without knowledge of that journey, we become shallow & rudderless-which somewhat defines the right wing in British politics. "Brave new world that has such people in it."
