Oooh, good luck with the thesis. I myself am.. a good time away from writing any, at the very least, 2 years. *if* things go well enough, that's it... That reminds me I should see if I can use direnv + nix to have latex only when I need it, and not installed globally.. but that's for another day

Mhm, I do not blame anyone for choosing alternatives, because I agree, LaTeX, *is* fairly bloated.. If not for the transparent compression, I probably would work harder on making my system take less space lol

Anyhow, I am also, that there is at least.. choice, and doesn't have to use LaTeX
