Oh, it definitely freaked me out. I didn’t digest how strange it was that he would literally tweet me to study for my exams (how did he know abt them, I found out he snuck into my livestreams) and asked me to do a musical cover of a sexual poem when I was a teenager (same age as his daughter).

Yeah, people around an offender are either groomed in a way by them, don’t understand that ppl like that don’t have morality and thus can’t feel true remorse, or they are guilty of it themselves.

But when I heard the first accusation over the summer I was like “Welp, that’s going to bring up a few things in my past…”. I started going over it all in my head and concluded it was definitely headed somewhere bad that it never got to (with him, anyway). Still unsettling.

I’m okay. It just sucks because they snaked their way in as I was reeling from a similar situation that went so much worse. Let’s just say that Neil is good at sniffing out girls with daddy issues. Luckily, it only got far enough where he called me his “internet wife” and creepy stuff like that

Also, being in my 30’s like she was then, I can’t imagine acting the way she and he did with a 19 year old. She only acted out of line in a big way once or twice, but he was definitely trying to groom me over time. He took my being a fan of hers as his “in”

I knew her when she was around the age I am now and I was significantly younger. Started as a fan and was taken under her and Neil’s wing. And now I am going back to therapy after all of this to digest all of the grooming. I fully believe the accusations & am glad I got away largely unscathed

Ugh, I am 35 now, but knew her and Neil through being a fan (who ended up in their circle) when I was 19-22. I’m still coming to grips with how they tried to groom me. Luckily, I was never alone with him, but they definitely crossed lines publicly
