Made it back to ORD and got plane home. Now having to fight to get money back and was advised it was no one “fault” and good luck. How can I pay for all this? Had trip insurance thankfully but now need to figure that out. Why aren’t those heavy poles secured!

No lidocaine for staples was a new level of pain, but then discharged to call myself an uber. And find a place to stay. Thanks to #marriott Checked in while tearful with blood covering my head and hair (poor desk clerk tried to not comment). Had trip insurance but now have no clue what to do next.

Helpful #AmericanAirlines boarding crew but I knew then my plans ruined, huge bills now coming and in shock. Ambulance, concussion, scalp staples, had to find a place to stay at now 11pm in Chicago. They said they would file a report, which I cannot see, and did not call security.

I had a bilateral done 5 years ago and this is a FABULOUS idea!!! Mine was able to save the nips, but i had planned peonies and maybe a butterfly or two. Good on you!
I have no regrets on being able to end the fear of what if, when, and how bad when it comes back. Good luck and good health!
