retired childless cat lady. mom to three cats. searching, searching, searching for some inner peace. fan of sarah lancashire, nicola walker, emma thompson, gentleman jack.
i found a kitten many moons ago, when i was in a bad place emotionally. i talked to her a lot, telling her that i knew that if she would be okay, then i would be okay. she passed a few years ago at 18 yrs old. we're talking to ourselves as much as we're talking to our pets & stuffed animals.

this white childless cat-lady would love to vote for kamala again. in the primaries, yes. in the general election, yes!

yes, courage. as they undergo the trauma that the whole state is living. i can't get my mind off what emotional and mental harm this is doing to the people there.

the great pumpkin will take months to get here (october). why not cupid (february) or the easter bunny (april)? might move things along a little. we really can't keep waiting to fix all of this. *frantically waving arms in every direction*

yeah, this arrest/confession thing stinks to high heaven.
his parents came out right away and said there was no way he could have done it.

also, when i sit down on a park bench and pull up my bra straps, THAT'S what it looks like. **just adding my two cents*

i still find it amazing that:
1. anne lister existed and wrote her diaries;
2. we figured out the diaries (if anne only knew!);
3. sally w made such an amazing tv series about AL

sometimes i wonder about anne lister.
as always, @acrossthepond88.bsky.social , thank you for posting these.

for me, the best antidote against dredging all this up is loud music: long versions (traffic 'low spark...' clapton 'layla' chapin 'taxi' elton 'funeral for a friend'... i could go on...) and hug my kitties tight. 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

sen. warren: what are you going to DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO about it? something? anything? nothing? just send these 'tsk, tsk' posts? that's it? send a strongly worded letter? shake your finger at him through a news camera?

i am reading this now - what a wonderful trip into the past! i would love a coffee table book of pictures of the beautiful things you write about. your descriptions of the treasures are so wonderful, i want to see them!

i read your book - loved it! i was a teen during the watergate era and #thewatergategirl gave me the deep inside perspective that i couldn't appreciate at that age. it's a great book - highly recommend!
