Like again, Backpage was found by 48 seperate Dem AGs to be tied to police officers and trafficking - they tried several police union officials for this, a few got away, but one of the most profilic cases, tracked to Kansas City died in custody after harrassing multiple minority prostitutes.

The argument around Backpage was that 48 Dem AGs found it guilty of trafficking children, also had MULTIPLE ties to LAPD.

I am aware, and that was a move championed by some and many others disagreed with it. It was not a unanimous vote for keeping backpage, that's why I mentioned her record leans more moderate (re: personal views) but she was open to hearing them out vs other CA city Dems.

Wasn't born in the US right? I don't think he's going to run either, but it's a good sign that even someone who seems normie/under the radar on the Dem side is more often than not, a fairly capable politician, in this case he stepped up very well.

To be fair, it's because no one else major stepped up to gain momentum to run that race.

Ro Khanna was called out for avoiding the Elon Musk call vote. He works for his district, which is extremely rich, out of touch Asians who primarily work with Teslas, but is absolutely captured by most Silicon Valley thinkers making up the worst parts of the Trump admin. He's a below-average D.

Young Kim has had low fundraising hauls for a while.

There's no "oh my god" about it, this is literally part of most CA political discourse, where Villaraigrosa thinks Dems have gone too far on sex work, while leftists claim they've alienated sex workers on the ground, and the truth is more in the middle. The CA race is literally happening rn.

Doesn't dispute ground reality. It's literally there @ Alameda County this moment. You don't know a shred about CA politics.

There's a lot of resentment towards Whitmer rn, because if she just went to that Senate seat, it would be an easy win.

Are you crazy? We need Lisa to keep Alaskan Dems alive. She's doing the best she can considering Elon easily floods out the small Alaskan Media Market with his money.

The issue is that the Dem base for MI Senate is very split. Black voters (From Detroit) probably choose Tate. McMorrow does very well with resist libs but has low name recognition, and will struggle with "too-left" attacks. Stevens is a weaker general candidate since Al-Sayed will attack her on I-P.

This is late but Nessel is probably capulating due to the ongoing Michigan Senate race. The Rs are actually trying to run a good operation there with Rogers, and a few candidates raising money. Right now Whitmer opting out means Stevens might win, and she might get crushed by Rogers at a debate.

I do not think he was ever on said list. He had twitter hype but even that was because all he did was attack desantis, which was easy.

He's very much a donor, pelosi and punditry pick.

…and Newsom has /always/ been an attention grabbing idiot. I’m glad that other people on the left or center-left side of the spectrum have finally started to notice.
