Maybe this is true of other shutdowns, but the rule about treating SNAP customers like any other customer is a rule intended to prevent stigmatizing SNAP recipients by making it clear they need food assistance. To use that rule to force stores to NOT provide a discount seems particularly evil.

He says there’s no legal mechanism for SNAP funds (there is) but then touts paying the troops by illegally accepting a donation from a billionaire to do so. Clearly demonstrating that decisions are being made based not on legality but on their priorities
