After nearly two years, Avebury Manor reopened 29th Nov and they've done so well to get a Christmas display in place. I went there today with my sister. Someone has tied a huge number of beautiful bows for all the trees!

A hot chocolate and a Nat Trust scone had to be done afterwards. 🥰

This morning, I'll be playing carols with Devizes Town Band in the Market Place, Devizes and we'll be collecting in aid of Devizes Foodbank.

Come and support a sadly much needed good cause!

An excellent lunch at Tortworth Court today, all the decorations inside were beautiful and the care taken over my dietary requirement was very professional. (I forgot to photograph the smoked salmon starter but it was as delicious as the rest of the food.)

It's not quite as tall as the tree in Salisbury Cathedral but it's up and I'm pleased with it. 🎄

What a wonderful afternoon! It was a complete joy from start to finish and I am so grateful for all the support from those who offered to help, who made the event what it was.

Thank you to everyone who came, it makes all the work in planning the concert so worthwhile. 🥰

I’d lost touch with my contact the former trade union and Google spin doctor - then I saw he’d started a health tech company with big ambitions to help spot serious illness early. D-J had a great story to tell…but let’s hope he doesn’t move fast and break things open.substack.com/pub/rorycell...
My friend from the dark side tries to catch disease early...
I had a long conversation this week with an old contact from the “dark side”, as we journalists used to describe the world of PR, despite knowing that many of us would end up there.

The Environment Agency have known about this site for months, yet they've done nothing to either try to catch those dumping this waste, or to start clearing it.

Their lack of concern is as disgusting as that mess.
The River Cherwell is one of many sites at risk due to organised criminals dumping mountains of illegal waste.

The Environment Agency must clean up this mess and the National Crime Agency must crack down on this scourge.

Turbo Tuesday: I offer a service for all you model collectors out there - original art for your scale models! Sometimes, the backdrops aren’t all that interesting, are they? If you’d love to own original art but don’t have wall space, why not use it to enhance your collection instead..?
