🧵Little thread on how to effectively advocate for issues in Parliament
1. Email your MP. This will always generate a response.
2. Get your local buddies who share an MP to write to the same MP. Three emails on the same subject will always get attention.
3. Don’t write via snail mail…

I have a differing view. We are no longer in the same political environment and politicians are being targeted for different reasons.
Attacking homes and families is now being primarily used to silence minorities and women.

I can only speak from my experience in Parliament as an MP.
Everyone has a view. This is mine, and that of my long suffering staff.
Do whatever makes you feel you’ve done the best thing!

No it’s not. Sorry.
It’s easy to ‘lose’ takes an age to get to the MP and takes more resources to respond (so a response is less likely).
Postcards need no lengthy security clearance, and are great for a campaign that wants a physical impact.
But hey. Just my experience.
