For those of you who don't know, I'm on extended sick leave with an infected kidney, which is going to be removed as soon as I get a date for surgery (thankfully it's keyhole so less invasive). I'm at home with two drains sticking out of me, but today my belt/pouch came from amazon. Yeah, mobility!

My mother has stage 4 lung cancer, that has lead to the collapse of her left lung. Her oncologist team is working out a treatment regime for her at the moment.
She doesn't seem too worried about it though, keeping active, pottering around the garden, etc. You really couldn't tell.
She's amazing.

Well....it seems like mum's got a tumour on her lung but when they tried to take samples it started bleeding, and had to stop the bronchoscopy, so now she has to have a more invasive biopsy at UCLH. Which understandably neither of us is looking forward too.

My mother ( who is the middle tests for lung cancer) started coughing up blood earlier, but she's conscious, lucid and mobile. Paramedic came round, did some preliminary tests by which time the bleeding had stopped. Since she is due another test appointment at a different hospital tomorrow

Yesterday I found out that some scuzball had cloned my card and then proceeded to rob me of about £500, spending most of it at a gambling premises. I spent more than an hour talking to the Fraud services at my bank and contacting the police and Action Fraud, so I could get an incident number.
