Just a few weeks ago Amazon was saying that AI wouldn’t take any jobs, they would gradually downsize through attrition. Layoffs ≠ attrition.

Of course, these 30K layoffs *might* not be attributable to AI, but I can’t see them laying off that many warehouse workers without it.

Industrial applications: gold shields the windows of the RBC tower in Toronto from the sun (or so we were told when it was built), as are astronauts’ visors. And of course it rarely depreciates

Agree - the semi-transparent app icons, notifications etc are so hard to read now. And I don’t have any eye diseases like cataracts etc. Hate the update already, without even launching any apps.
