My husband took this in Arlington around 12:45 pm. You can see where the rain line was - absolutely pouring just down the block, but where he had stopped it was dry. He said it was dry on the other side of the intersection, too.
Looking out the windshield of a dark gray SUV toward an intersection in suburban Arlington. There’s a blue mailbox on the left side of the intersection, and a silver SUV parked across the intersection. Big trees and big houses, phone lines cross overhead. Where the car you are looking out from is standing and until the intersection, it is dry. However, it is pouring rain over the intersection and the road is hazy/shiny from the rain. Big white clouds are in the sky, and at the very top of the photo there are dark gray ones — presumably the source of the rain. A small pocket of blue sky is visible.
