We asked Hackney primary school kids to design a poster to stop people from leaving their dog poo on the pavement and in parks. Here are some of the ace posters they sent. You’ll be seeing the winning designs on lampposts soon. #lovehackney❤️ love our streets. @hackneycouncil.bsky.social

Come and see this Low Carbon Chinatown exhibition in Hackney’s Service Centre (just behind the town hall). It’s beautifully designed and gives us 100 climate actions to discuss and think about. Great to see the food growing and cooking of Gainsborough School kids too - homemade ketchup!

We’re tackling climate change in a way that delivers real benefits for local people ⬇️

That means warmer homes, lower bills, more reuse, less waste, cleaner air and healthier streets

A block of flats with solar panels on the roof with text that reads "Warmer homes, lower bills. Solar panels on housing estates. Gov money for energy efficient upgrades. A new CO2 heat network" Two people fixing a clock accompanied by text that reads "Repair more, waste less and save money. 8 new repair shops. Well stocked Library of Things. £400k saved by reducing waste disposal." A rain garden with plans and flowers accompanied by text that reads "And cleaner air for all! Low traffic zones. 1,300 renewable powered EV chargers. New rain gardens and trees planted"

Hi Rich, I hope you have put in a consultation response so that the Streetscene Team can look at this.

We are very lucky @hackneycouncil.bsky.social to have newly built Woodberry Down Children’s Centre. @anyasizer.bsky.social and I had a 5 star tour of 2 nurseries & the huge range of support available: health visitors, housing advice, First Steps counselling and more. We’ll be back!

A visit to Umit on Lower Clapton Rd for help repairing our ancient Super 8 projector. Umit’s www.cine-real.com at Clapton Castle is definitely “the best movie night in town” as Time Out says.

Enjoyed the afternoon at @hackneyfixers.bsky.social Hackney Fixing Factory working out why our ancient projector won’t work to show our home movies from the ‘90s. Saw a toaster and a coffee grinder being repaired. Many happy fixers enjoying taking stuff apart and putting it back together. #fixfest
